Writers' Camp

With Donna Hardy and Clare Morris as Space Makers,
7: 30 p.m. Monday, August 2, through lunch, Saturday, August 7, 2004.

If what you want from a writing week is a chance to write, Camp Writing Bear is for you. We offer lots of silence and the perfect combination of Writing Time and Other Time. There will be an optional writing activity each morning and an optional feedback session each afternoon. Evenings will be for art, revelations, and a movie or two for inspiration.
If you have a project you ache to get to but never find the space for, if you need time to revise and rework, if you are preparing a manuscript of poetry, if you just want some time to write-this is for you. Bring your laptop and your writer's notebooks; and because there's more to writing than writing, bring your journal, your sketch pad, your needlepoint, your flip flops, your walking shoes.
Clare Morris and Donna Hardy are writers and psychotherapists who have been leading workshops, together and separately, for many years. They are skillful at making and holding space where people can do their own creative work.
Angela Center is located among the vineyards and the playing fields at the edge of Santa Rosa. The building and grounds support finding places for solitude. There is good walking space. You will have a room of your own with a writing table and hot and cold running water. The toilet, showers, and tub are down the hall. The meals will be better than you remember from Girl Scout Camp.
Enrolment is limited to 24 women. The total cost is $550.
