THE "UNACCEPTABLE" DEATH COMES CALLING
A program for individuals who provide care for those with life-threatening or terminal illnesses

We are bewildered and confused when someone in our care dies an unsatisfactory death. Our relationship with the pain and suffering of unacceptablae death can either inspire or dispirit our capacity to service, directly influencing the degree of compassion we are capable of bringing to the next situation.
There is a path for realizing one's deepest intentions in caring for others even when confronted with the most difficult challenges. This program will explore that path. It will be a day of process and practice intended to open an understanding of the application and benefits of "mindfulness-based" insight practices in caring for those who suffer.

Led by Patrick Thornton, Ph.
D.Patrick Thornton is a Christian Cleric and a Buddhist Teacher with over 35 years' experience working with individuals in life crisis, including 5 years in hospice service. He is a student of Vipassana meditation and has taught mindfulness practices in clinical settings throughout the United States. Thornton has a private counseling practice in Santa Rosa.
