IF WE WANT TO SURVIVE, LET'S HOLD HANDS AND WEEP

Why does our human species continue to do such disgraceful and damaging things to our Mother Earth? That is the question we bring to this celebration of Earth Day. We will call on our ancestors, human and other, to support us in our quest to come to grips with our suicidal tendencies regarding the world we live in.

Utilizing the "Four Paths of Creation Spirituality" as our framework, and specific exercises developed by Joanna Macy and Molly Young Brown in their book Coming Back to Life, we will explore our feelings and thoughts surrounding our place in the ecology of things. Through the use of music, body movement, self expressions, dialogue, and ritual, we will gain insight into the enormous paradigm shift we are challenged to make at this time in history.

Led by Steve Lyman, M.A.
Steve Lyman has a Masters of Liberal Arts Degree in Creation Spirituality as well as a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Environmental Studies and Planning. He is a student of Matthew Fox, Joanna Macy, Clarissa Pinkola Estes, and Teilhard de Chardin.

Cost: $12. Please make reservations.
