SOMETHING LIKE WAVE AFTER WAVE
A poetry writing workshop

When poet Muriel Rukeyser defines the act of writing a poem, she says of it ". . . something is streaming out of a body in waves/something is beginning from the fingertips . . . "

In this poetry workshop we will declare for the moments in our lives, the difficult, the joyous and the ordinary; we will bring ourselves over and over to the white page of the paper and strengthen both the commitment and companionship we've each begun with our creative spirit. As in past workshops we will continue to use contemporary poets and the poetic behaviors they employ to inform and inspire our own work.

Led by Lynn Trombetta, B.A.
Lynn Trombetta holds two teaching credentials and a B.A. Degree in English. Her work has appeared in poetry journals across the country, including Atlanta Review, The Sun, CALYX, Poets On and many others. About her work she says, "Practicing patience and steadfastness before the blank page is hard work, but it is work which offers astonishments and truths, and always guidance in the difficult task of being human."

Cost: $72 plus $10 materials fee. Please make reservations. Class limited to 10 people.
